What is the footer section?

A Footer Section is located at the bottom of a webpage and typically contains essential information and links relevant to your store or site. It’s an area for providing additional details about your business, offering navigation to important pages, and including contact information, social media links, and other relevant content.

Steps to Set Up a Footer Section:

1. Adjust the width of the footer to fit your design needs.

1. Choose a color scheme from the available options to match the overall look of your site. For further customization, go to your theme’s color settings.

1. Enable Country/Region Selector to allow visitors to select their country or region from the footer.

1. Display the selected country name in the footer and enable language selector to allow visitors to choose their preferred language from the footer.

1. Enable Follow on Shop to Allow customers to follow your store on the Shop app. Ensure Shop Pay is enabled to use this feature.

1. Include a link to Shopify in the footer if desired by turning on Powered by Shopify Link.

1. Add any extra text or legal disclaimers, such as "All rights reserved." and display links to store policies (e.g., return policy, privacy policy). Set up these policies in your policy settings.

1. Turn on Payment Icons to display payment method icons to show accepted payment options.

1. Adjust the upper and lower spacing to control the padding around the footer.

Adding Content to the Footer Section:

Text Block

• Add a heading for your text block and subheading or a brief description.
• Provide a short description of your store or brand and add a button if needed.

Menu Block

• Add a heading and display a menu with links to top-level pages or categories. You can choose to open these links in a new window.

Email Block

• Add a heading and enable email sign-up functionality to collect subscriber information. Subscribers will be added to your "accepted marketing" customer list.
• Display social media icons linking to your social media profiles. Set these up in your theme settings.

Image Block

• Upload and display an image in the footer. Choose the image width and alignment (left, center, or right) on large screens.
