What is an announcement bar?

An announcement bar is a prominent section located at the top of a website, usually within the header. It displays important announcements, promotions, or notifications. The announcement bar is a great tool for highlighting special offers, upcoming events, new product launches, or any other important messages that you want to communicate to your visitors.

Steps to Set Up an Announcement Bar:

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize to enter the theme editor.

2. On the left side of the theme editor, locate and click on the Header Group. Find the Announcement Bar section within it.

3. Click on the Announcement Bar to access its customization options on the right-hand side of the screen.

4. Choose one of the four available color schemes to match your store’s branding.

5. In the text field provided, enter the content you want to display in the announcement bar. You can further customize the text by making it bold, italic, adjusting the heading size, adding links, or using bullet points and numbered lists.

6. If needed, you can add custom CSS for additional styling of the announcement bar.

7. Once you're satisfied with your setup, click Save to apply the changes. You can preview how the announcement bar will appear on both desktop and mobile devices.
