What is the header section?

The header section is a key element of your online store, typically located at the top of every webpage. It serves as a gateway for visitors, offering crucial navigation tools like the menu, search bar, and your brand’s logo. The header allows users to easily browse different pages, search for products, or return to the homepage, making it an essential part of the overall user experience.

Steps to Set Up the Header Section:

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize to enter the theme editor. Find the Header Section in the settings panel.

2. On the right side of the screen, you'll find options to customize the header. Start by enabling the Sticky Header if you want the header to stay visible as users scroll down the page.

3. Choose one of the four available color schemes for the header to match your store’s branding.

4. Upload your logo image and adjust its width to ensure it fits perfectly within the header layout.

5. Select the navigation menu you want to display and manage its position in the header. You can also choose a menu design from the available options to suit your store’s style.

6. If desired, enable the option to show the collection’s featured image within the header for added visual appeal.

7. Customize localization settings by enabling options such as the language selector, country/region selector, and displaying the country name, depending on your store’s needs.

8. Use the spacing slider to fine-tune the space above and below the header section, ensuring optimal visual balance.

9. Adjust the logo width specifically for the mobile view using the mobile width slider, ensuring your logo displays correctly on smaller screens.

10. Finally, manage additional theme settings and, if necessary, add custom CSS to apply unique styling to the header section.
